It's not the way everyone sees it. It all has to do with the fact that you can't really measure what you're measuring.

Ummm, no, let's try this a different way.

It's like splitting millimeters, or splitting seconds. It's really rather easy to do, after all, you split a second, you get a millisecond, or even a nanosecond. Split a millimeter, and you get a nanometer. Simple, easy, right?

But if you keep splitting the smaller units over and over again, you realize you can do this an infinite number of times, and so really, each little bit of space and each little bit of time is infintely big.

No, huh? Okay, how about we look at it from the other direction.

Each inch of space is made up of planes. Plans have length and width, but no height. So really, you can stack an infinite number of them on top of each other, and they will increasingly take up more space, except, of course, no matter how many you stack, they won't go any higher, because they have no height at all. And yet, somehow, height exists. And within each inch of height, there is an infinite number of these planes, stacked on top of each other.

So you see, that's how he's able to do it. He's not bound, so he just slides between the cracks. Well, no, not between them, so much as into them. I mean, you can't slide between them, because they don't take up any space, they are space. There's no space between them, because they are the space, so you pretty much slide into them. It works the same with time.

No, I'm not sure how he uses this to maintain immortality. I mean, sure, it may seem like he could just exist in the planes of time within time, but when you think about it, if he were there, he'd have to be in all the times of that one second, and he'd never get beyond that second. How he can manage to go through time just like the rest of us, with out time, as it were, going through him, is rather a good one.

But then, that's what he does. I wouldn't let it worry you so. It makes him a damn good messenger, though.
