I'm ususally not good at meditation unless I'm in pain. Then I have something to focus on, something that draws my attention wonderfully.
I never seem to have trouble slippinginto a meditative state, even accidentally, while I'm at work. But that has nothing to do with this discussion.
I never quite got the hang of just flowing with the pain. I always have to focus on it, to draw it out, and force it to ever greater heights of pain until it hurts as much as it possibly can before I push the oher direction and begin to soothe the pain away.
It's an odd reflex, to push my pain to the heights before drawing back for peace. Eh, maybe I'm just stubborn.
